National Development league leaders Bournemouth consolidated their position with another emphatic home win to retain their 100% Wimborne Road record. They reduced the Mildenhall Fen Tigers roar to a mere purr by rattling off maximum heat advantages in the first three heats of the night and by the halfway stage had effectively seen off both the Tigers tactical rides with a 4-4 shared heat and a slender 3-5 deficit.
Mildenhall were weakened when James Birkenshaw was forced to pull out of the meeting through illness and they had to use rider replacement to cover for him. That gave new boy Taylor Poole plenty of track action to shine and the son of former Poole Pirate Mick Poole looked resplendent in his Jason Crump equipment. The young Australian was able to show plenty of his promise and improved greatly as he became accustomed to the Wimborne Road circuit finishing with a score of paid 10 which included a first ride exclusion as he tried to unfairly drive a way by the Buccaneers and caused Aaron Baseby to fall.
But with the Buccaneers J-H Bomb factor of Jay Herne and Jerran Hart (both of whom miss tomorrow's crucial trip to Plymouth) in maximum form and Mark Baseby only pipped home by Poole in heat 14 and Evans in heat 15 combined with Kyle Newman's determination to delight the crowd by making more passes than a speed-dater few sides would have been able to live with rampant Buccaneers on this showing
