Bournemouth finished the job they had started on Sunday to claim their first ever club trophy of their brief history offering the Hitmen no respite in the early heats. Buxton could only collect two heat advantages, both when using the tactical ride rule for double point returns before the Buccaneers finally put the silverware officially in the trophy cabinet when local lad Kyle Newman produced his best ride of the night to pass Jade Mudgeway in heat 12.
A race later skipper Jay Herne wrote his name in Wimborne Road history by completing an unbeaten sequence of 36 rides, bettering the long standing record of Tony Lewis (dating back to 1961), and doing it under the hunt and pursuit of Craig Cook who made the Australian work every inch of the way. Both riders passed previously unbeaten, and other half of the JH-Bomb factor, Jerran Hart, in the process as the grandstand rose to acknowledge the race of the night, but two heats later Cook ended that sequence with a super quick closing victory of his own.
